Alright so basically this is what I think of the RET value when I hear Vivek speaking of it
As soon as the call command is hit, the address of the next instruction,
is pushed on the stack, and then the RET instruction pops the value (of next instruction) from the stack,
into the EIP regsiter, so the CPU knows that this is the next instrcution to be executed.
This is taken from my notes, I did from this video.
Is that the right way of thinking of the above photo I've sent you - or do you have anything else to add to this, that is not true ?
